This project is a UI design challenge. I designed a way to make adding a movie to your Disney+ watchlist feel magical and fun. The focus is on creating a simple and engaging user experience.

1. Project Overview
This project began with a simple prompt: take a small everyday digital interaction and make it feel magical. I chose the “Add to My List” moment because it is something users do all the time, yet it rarely feels special. My goal was to create a softer, more cinematic interaction that adds intention and emotion to a very small action. I wanted to show how a tiny moment could feel more meaningful through motion and subtle visual cues.
2. The Problem
The current “Add to My List” interaction is functional, but it is visually flat and easy to overlook. It does not communicate ownership or satisfaction. It does not leave an impression. I saw an opportunity to redesign this moment so that it feels more personal and more rewarding. I wanted the user to feel a sense of completion and calm, even in a quick action.
Missed opportunity to reinforce ownership and emotion

Functional, but visually flat and forgettable
3. Exploration
I explored simple ways to bring more feeling into the moment. I studied soft glows, light motion, gentle fades, and subtle lighting changes. I sketched envelopes, folders, and card movements to see how the poster could behave like a physical object. These early explorations helped me imagine a motion that felt natural and grounded. My intention was to keep everything clean and slow enough to feel intentional without being distracting.

Every poster feels like part of a curated collection

4. Motion Concept
The final concept used a folder or envelope metaphor. The interaction starts with the poster lifting slightly, giving it weight and presence. A folder slides up from the bottom of the screen, and the poster moves smoothly into it. The folder closes gently, followed by a soft glow to confirm the action. Once the glow fades, the folder slides back down, leaving the screen clean again. This makes the moment feel organized, tactile, and intentional—like placing something meaningful into a personal collection.

5. Outcome
This project showed me how much emotion can come from small interactions. A simple moment can feel different when the motion is thoughtful and the visuals are soft and grounded. I learned that gentle movement builds trust and satisfaction. The interaction feels calm, personal, and deliberate. If I choose to develop this concept further, it could grow into a full motion system. For now, it is a reminder that even the smallest moments deserve care and intention.
